Lake Baltezers is part of a lake district next to Latvia's capital city Riga. The connection of the lakes with the Baltic sea and the consequential tides as well as the every year flood in time of thaw make it difficult for boats to land at the lakefront. We decided to build a floating landing - independent of the water level - in five meter distance to the coast line. Located in front of the reed belt, the landing offers a fantastic view to the lake and its islands.
A great place for picnic or a glass of wine.
The two benches and the table are hanged in steel cables and can be folded up to use the platform efficiently for different purposes, to have enough space for up to eight people to enjoy the view and have a meal there, to land boats or repair them, to lie on the platform after swimming or even to start ice skating in winter on the frozen lake from the White Lake House.
